	Tapestry by Shirley Cunningham     IN THE SHADOW OF HIS WINGS A dimensional tapestry utilizing fiber and beading. The fluidity of the silk chiffon with its moving wing, the rich brown depth of the beautiful vintage silk velvet in contrast with soft colors of taupe and grey speak as a visual of the rest, peace, joy and glory in Christ of which the poet speaks. The vintage fabrics used in this piece are from two separate garments- the silk chiffon beaded piece from the 1950's, the netting piece from the 1960's and the embellishment on the back is from the 1890's.
